Summary
Aids physicians in patient care and education.
- Assesses physical and psychosocial patient status
- Writes prescriptions based on lab results
- Determines patient eligibility for clinical trials
- Communicates patient care updates to physicians
- Administers therapeutic measures and collects specimens
- Dictates follow-up letters to referring physicians
- Documents patient care accurately and promptly
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams
- Manages family dynamics and coping mechanisms
- Triage patients and performs hospital rounds
- Supports on-call coverage and assists in training
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Master's degree in nursing or post-masters nurse practitioner certificate
- 0-3 years of relevant experience
- Licensed as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Florida
- BLS certified
