Responsibilities
- Perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure retaining equipment in accordance with API and ASME standards.
- Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition to clients.
- Provide technical recommendations for the repair, re-rating, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment, as required for safe operation within stated operating parameters.
- Offer technical input to clients regarding welding and metallurgical issues.
- Provide technical guidance on the application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
- Comply fully with all Acuren and client safe work practices and actively participate in all site safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Certification of American Petroleum Institute Standards 510/570.
- 6+ years’ experience or 4+ years on-site experience.
- Additional 653 and CWI certification preferred but not required.
- In-depth working knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards.
- Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers.
- Willingness to work at a nested site and local to Brownsville, TX or willing to relocate.
- TWIC card preferred.
