Apex - Field Technician

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections and provide accurate measurements of doors and windows.
• Perform timely and high-quality repairs of customers' products, including screen installation, sash replacement, glass replacement, hardware replacement, and seal repairs.
• Accurately measure doors and windows.
• Coordinate required return visits; convey necessary services, materials, and labor.
• Conduct post-installation inspections.
• Predict and address potential issues that may affect customer expectations, job costs, or compliance with codes; suggest solutions.
• Promote the company's services.
• Manage administrative tasks such as scanning installer invoices, scanning copies of customer payments, mailing payments, ensuring installers are ready for their daily jobs, receiving materials and product shipments, etc.

Qualifications

• An Associate degree or technical certification in the industry.
• Previous experience servicing windows and doors.
• Previous experience with exterior replacement products.
• A valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to an insurance company.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Patience in managing overtime on service calls without compromising job quality.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A strong understanding of the equipment and tools used in the industry.
• Physical fitness to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and bend frequently.
• Travel within the radius of GDI locations.
