Stoa Group is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team in Mobile, AL. Our Maintenance Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the success of each community by providing exceptional service to residents.
Responsibilities
- Repair and enhance our community’s plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, and painting needs.
- Build rapport with residents by offering a smile and greeting them and chatting as you make repairs in their homes.
- Respond to service requests by launching into action when maintenance issues arise, collaborating with teammates and prioritizing service requests to earn trust and build resident satisfaction.
- Monitor apartment vacancies daily, initiating the turnover process with painting, cleaning, and repairs.
- Tend to preventive maintenance by safeguarding equipment with regular tune-ups, helping equipment last longer and minimize costly repairs.
- Inspect all areas daily for cleanliness and safety, and help maintain great curb appeal.
Requirements
- 1-2+ years of hands-on general maintenance experience (Property management experience is a plus)
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Rotating on-call responsibility for after-hours emergencies
- Valid driver's license and/or access to reliable transportation
- Ability to earn future designations as required by industry standards, EPA regulations, OSHA requirements, etc.
- Ability to walk great distances, lift up to 75 lbs., climb and be comfortable on roofing, operate heavy machinery and withstand extreme outdoor temperatures with or without reasonable accommodations
Preferred Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Trade school and/or military training or industry designation (CAMT or CAMT II)
- HVAC Experience
