Apartment Maintenance Technician - 2054 Bell Riverside

About the role

AIR Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at our apartment community in Jacksonville, FL. We utilize advanced technology to enhance our service delivery, allowing us to focus on providing exceptional care to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to residents and assist team members.
• Follow AIR's process for completing basic apartment turns to ensure the apartment is ready for the next resident's move-in experience.
• Complete resident requested repairs and routine maintenance tasks such as troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical components, HVAC equipment, and appliances.
• May provide functional/technical direction and training to other Maintenance Technicians and support the development of technical skills.
• May assist with managing vendor quality and perform move-in/move-out inspections.
• Responsibilities vary based on team member skillset and community needs, mechanical systems, and season.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a facilities or building environment.
• Proficient skills in at least two technical trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
• Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, 7-day work weeks, and on-call shifts (at least one week a month).
• Reliable mode of transportation to respond to emergency service requests while on-call after hours.
• Comfortable with physical activity as you must be able and willing to move heavy equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
