Apartment Maintenance Technician - $1000 Sign-on Bonus

About the role

This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the apartments and common areas at HHHunt's Abberly Twin Hickory apartments. The role involves diagnosing and fixing a wide range of issues, from electrical and plumbing to landscaping and painting, ensuring a pleasant living environment for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Complete inspections, work orders, turns, and tasks following company policies and values, prioritizing customer service.
  • Solve routine and some moderately complex problems within assigned technical areas and assist in other areas as needed.
  • Notify the Service Manager of inventory needs for parts and supplies to complete work orders, turns, or tasks.
  • Participate in an On-Call schedule to respond to emergency calls and document time and work according to company policies.
  • Maintain current on all required training classes and certifications, communicate with the Leasing Office and Service Manager regarding charges, deficiencies, and concerns.
  • Ensure the community and all work areas are clean, neat, and safe for all residents and team members, adhering to company and government standards.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times and comply with company dress codes.
  • Maintain and use community equipment and vehicles according to company policies and manufacturer standards.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or trade school certification in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Appliances, Landscaping, Painting, Carpentry, Swimming Pools, or related field, plus 2 years of experience in a service technician or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in eight technical areas including HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Appliances, Landscaping, Painting, Carpentry, and Swimming Pools.
  • EPA 608 Type I & II certification required.
  • CPO certification required.
  • CAMT designation required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a smart device and a computer with organizational tracking systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work outside for long periods in various weather conditions.
