Apartment Maintenance Tech - River's Gate/Carrollwood

About the role

River's Gate/Carrollwood located in Middle River, MD, is in need of an experienced Maintenance Tech to join our service team. This person will be expected to respond to maintenance work orders, perform preventative maintenance as directed, and prepare units for move-in. Ideal candidates will work well both with a team and individually. Excellent customer service skills required; some prior experience in residential maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance repair requests
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Prepare units for move‑in for new residents
• HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance
• Hanging, prepping, and sanding drywall
• Electrical repairs
• Upkeep and repair of appliances
• Plumbing work
• Painting common areas and apartments
• Maintaining cleanliness, order, and safety on the property’s grounds
• Assisting with snow removal
• Participating in a rotating on‑call schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage for emergencies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3‑5 years’ experience in site maintenance

Qualifications

• Demonstrated plumbing, electrical, or carpentry skills
• Availability for on‑call emergencies on evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and ability to travel
• Able to troubleshoot minor electrical problems within various types of fixtures and equipment
• Ability to work on ladders and lift to a height up to 85 ft

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $21 (pay based on experience and certifications) + phone allowance

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with weekly rotating on‑call after hours
