About the role

Join us as an Apartment Maintenance Supervisor and lead a dynamic team to exceed resident expectations in maintaining and enhancing our apartment communities. This role reports to a Property Manager and ensures apartment homes and facilities are in optimal working order, meeting MAA’s high standards. You will coordinate the maintenance team to handle repairs, service requests, and property upkeep while maintaining a supply of market-ready apartments. Responsibilities include assisting with hiring, training, and developing maintenance staff, which may include painters and landscaping personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the maintenance team to ensure timely repair and upkeep of property facilities and apartment units.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to resident service requests.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of market-ready apartments to meet leasing demand.
  • Ensure property appearance meets or exceeds MAA standards.
  • Assist with hiring, training, and developing maintenance staff, including painters and landscaping personnel.
  • Meet financial goals without compromising work quality while exceeding resident customer service expectations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three to five years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, or mechanical repair (or an equivalent combination of experience and education).
  • HVAC experience required.
  • EPA Type II or Universal license required.
  • For Florida locations: CAMT license required at time of hire or by the next professional examination and licensing opportunity.
  • Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
  • One to three years of supervisory experience preferred.
