Apartment Cleaner- Steger

About the role

Bender Companies is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at one of our apartment communities in Steger. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, be highly attentive to detail, and understand the importance of cleanliness in both shared and private living spaces.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize hallways, lobbies, stairwells, laundry rooms, and other common areas
• Aid in cleaning and preparing vacant units for move-ins, including floors, appliances, and fixtures
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to the maintenance or management team
• Maintain property grounds, including picking up debris, sweeping walkways, and emptying trash bins
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment according to company policies and safety guidelines
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report when restocking is necessary
• Support other staff with occasional light maintenance or turnover tasks as needed

Requirements

• Reliable transportation to get to work
• Previous experience as a cleaner, janitor, or custodian in residential, commercial, or hospitality settings
• Familiarity with the proper use and care of cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Understanding of safe handling and disposal of cleaning agents and hazardous materials
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for keeping spaces clean and safe
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to high-quality work

The Pay Range For This Role Is 18 - 19 USD per hour(Linden Park Apartments)

Schedule

Full-time
Schedule 8 AM to 4:30 PM (however hours may vary)
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
