APAC- Haul Truck Driver- NWA ($1,500 Sign On Bonus)

APAC Central Inc., a CRH company, produces and provides crushed aggregate materials, sand, ready-mix concrete, asphalt, and performs regional heavy highway/infrastructure construction serving Arkansas, Oklahoma, and southern Missouri. The company and its founding entities have been serving customers since the early 20th Century.

About the role

The selected candidate will work in a team environment in a safety-sensitive capacity, operating skid steers, loaders, dump trucks, and portable rock crushers as part of a traveling crew. Responsibilities include safely and efficiently operating heavy equipment such as loaders, bulldozers, and trackhoes for road, quarry, or highway construction and paving.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights in a safe and efficient manner.
• Report any equipment problems or safety concerns to your manager.
• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and co-workers, including constant eye contact and communication using hand signals when backing equipment.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures.
• Follow directions from the Foreman regarding daily tasks and project expectations.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major issues to the Foreman.
• Conduct daily pre-and-post equipment inspections with appropriate documentation.
• Assist in training less-experienced employees on proper equipment operation, servicing, and repair.
• Perform general labor duties as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Previous related experience in the construction field and/or training.

Physical & Work Environment

• Frequently climb, balance, and perform tasks requiring physical agility.
• Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.
• Lift and move objects weighing 25-50 lbs. as needed.
• Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold, rain).
• Comfortable working around jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.
• Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.

Pay

$20 an hour, depending on experience. Includes a $1500 sign-on bonus.
