About the role
Role Type: Full-Time Contract
Location: Goodyear, AZ (remote/in-office)
Responsibilities
- Install conduit systems including EMT, rigid, and PVC in accordance with project drawings and NEC code requirements.
- Perform rough-in and finish electrical work for mechanical equipment, lighting, and receptacle systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and specifications to execute work correctly.
- Perform point-to-point testing, megger testing, and continuity checks on installed systems prior to energization.
- Support commissioning and startup activities including equipment energization and functional testing.
- Work under the direction of journeymen while taking on increasing levels of independent responsibility within your crew.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and adhere to all site safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Complete daily documentation including timesheets, material usage logs, and punch list items.
- Cookordination with foremen, other trades, and the general contractor to maintain project schedule and quality standards.
Requirements
- Active enrollment as a Level 4 Apprentice Electrician in the state of Arizona (or recognized reciprocal apprenticeship standing).
- Minimum 4+ years of commercial or industrial electrical construction experience.
- Proficiency in conduit bending, wire pulling, and equipment termination across a range of voltage levels.
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local code requirements.
- Experience with medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems.
- Solid understanding of electrical safety practices including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a larger crew in a fast-paced environment.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start).
- Must be local to the Phoenix/Goodyear, AZ area — no relocation assistance or per diem provided.
Skills
- Experience on data center, pharmaceutical, or other mission-critical construction projects.
- Familiarity with critical power systems including UPS, PDUs, automatic transfer switches (ATS), and generators.
- Experience working within a structured commissioning process and completing Cx documentation.
- Background working in a union or prevailing wage environment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and structural drawings to coordinate with other trades.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Currently enrolled in a state-approved electrical apprenticeship program (Level 4, typically within the final year of a 4–5 year program).
- Additional technical training or coursework in electrical systems, power distribution, or construction management is a plus.
