About the role
We are seeking a part-time, 1-1, in-home high school tutor in Northern Virginia, DC, or Maryland. Ideal candidates have past experience teaching/tutoring AP US History, with bonus points for AP World or AP European History experience.
Responsibilities
- Academic planning and instruction
- Conduct 60-120 minute private individual lessons in student homes, weekdays 4-10 pm, and/or weekends
- Develop and maintain genuine, positive, and consistent communication with parents and students
Requirements
- Experience tutoring or teaching AP US History and other high school English and history courses
- Bachelor's degree required
- Current or former AP US History classroom teachers are highly encouraged to apply

Pay
Top Score Education offers highly competitive compensation. The starting pay range for this role is $45‑$65 per hour. As tutors grow and develop with the company, they can earn up to $80 per hour.
