About the role
We are launching an AOS Welding Associate Degree Program and are seeking experienced welding instructors to help us achieve this goal.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate record keeping for student attendance and grades.
- Advise students on attendance, grades, and discipline issues.
- Create and maintain a safe environment at all times.
- Manage and teach proper handling of classroom tools.
- Communicate, support, and enforce school policies and procedures.
- Ensure an ethical and fair testing environment during periods of testing.
- Maintain and evaluate classroom equipment.
- Evaluate and improve the curriculum to ensure relevance.
- Conform to prescribed methods of record keeping.
- Communicate promptly regarding supplies and tools needed for the classroom.
- Attend semi-annual graduation ceremonies.
Requirements
- A degree in welding or a related field is required.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- 4-5 years of recent industry experience in welding, non-destructive testing (NDT), quality assurance (QA), or fabrication.
- AWS CWI certification (or AWS SCWI if AWS CWI is not achieved within one year).
- ASNT Level III certification in applicable NDT methods (UT, MT, RT, PT, ET).
- OSHA 30, Radiation Safety, or equivalent regulatory training.
