Professional Responsibilities
- Respond to evaluation referrals for students with suspected disabilities and conduct re-evaluations for students with identified disabilities.
- Develop present levels of performance and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including measurable goals and objectives.
- Provide physical therapy services to assigned students in accordance with IEP goals, frequency, duration, and placement determined by the IEP Team.
- Maintain effective oral and written communication with parents, teachers, and other educational personnel.
- Collaborate with school staff to identify areas where support and adaptation strategies are needed to improve student access and participation in the educational environment.
Qualifications
- Current Maine physical therapist license.
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
