About the role

Actively greets members, provides a high level of member service, performs clean up, department set-up and closing tasks as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Greets members and helps load orders onto the conveyor belt.
• Determines member packing preferences and answers questions.
• Relates information on special promotions and thanks members.
• Assists the cashier by counting items left in cart, checking under items, and positioning them for scanning.
• Packs member orders into boxes and loads them to a separate cart or flatbed.
• Checks packaging for tampering and follows all safety and security procedures.
• Assists members loading orders into their car when appropriate.
• May assist members with self-checkouts regarding scanning heavy merchandise or entering item numbers.
• Monitors self-checkout registers for errors and keeps the belt area clean of product and debris.
• Maintains cleanliness of the register area and general front-end area, including cleaning spills and trip hazards immediately.
• Performs set-up and closing duties such as returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning the area.
• Transfers pallets of merchandise from the receiving area to steel shelves, bulk walls, or directly to the sales floor.
• Assists with stocking, clears sales floor debris, and ensures correct product signage; creates computer-generated signs.
• Labels unmarked product with item numbers and ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Assists with department duties and other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
• Ability to operate vehicles, equipment, or machinery.

Requirements
