About the role
The successful candidate will teach within the course of study for the subject area at the grade level as prescribed in state law or adopted by the school district. They will also prepare lesson plans, establish classroom management procedures, and evaluate student progress.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and implement lesson plans that meet district curriculum requirements and show evidence of preparation.
- Design lessons that accommodate different learning styles and present subject matter according to guidelines set by the Texas Education Agency, Board of Trustees, and administrative regulations.
- Establish efficient classroom management procedures and maintain high standards of pupil behavior.
- Evaluate and record students' progress and provide timely reports to parents as required.
- Teach within the designated subject area and grade level, aligning with state and district objectives.
- Plan and coordinate the work of aides and other paraprofessionals, including student teachers.
- Participate in the development of the evaluation system for the school and collaborate with the principal.
- Interpret educational programs to the community through activities like open houses and PTA meetings.
- Be available for counseling with students and parents before and after school.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- A valid Texas teacher certificate with the necessary subject and subject-level endorsements.
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and instructional methods.
- Ability to follow specific instructions and adapt to new developments in the field.

Qualifications
