ANTICIPATED OPENING - PRESCHOOL TEACHER (PART-TIME)

About the Role

Emerson Public Schools is seeking a caring, energetic, and qualified Half-Day Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and physical growth of young learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
• Support students' social-emotional development and early literacy, math, and communication skills
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student growth and classroom activities
• Collaborate with administrators, support staff, and faculty members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required
• Preschool certification required
• Experience teaching preschool or pre-kindergarten students preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
• Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
