About the role
Vassalboro Community School is seeking an educator to work as a long-term substitute for the PK-4 Life Skills Program from late September 2026 until the end of November/Mid December 2026.
Responsibilities
- Teach life skills curriculum to students in PK-4 grade levels
- Support students' social-emotional development
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure continuity of instruction
Requirements
- Valid Maine teaching certificate
- Experience working with PK-4 students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications
- Master's degree in education or related field preferred
- At least one year of experience in PK-4 education
Skills
- Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule
- Knowledge of special education needs and accommodations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
