About the role

The Educational Assistant (EA) III position at Cumberland Valley School District offers 7.5 work hours per day. Responsibilities

• Foster a supportive and effective learning environment
• Provide instructional support in classrooms

• Work closely with classroom teachers and other district employees
• Interact with students and staff

Requirements

• Direct experience within an autistic or emotional support classroom
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and experience supporting program delivery for students with disabilities
• Criminal Record Check (less than one year old)
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance (less than one year old)
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance (less than one year old)
• TB Test/Mantoux (less than three months old)
• Physical examination (less than one year old)

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Two-year Associate’s degree or equivalent (or ability to pass a highly-qualified assessment)

Skills

• Sensitivity to students from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Patience with students learning a second language
• Fluency in English
• Multilingual abilities are a plus

Benefits

The EA III position is compensated at a starting wage of $20.60/hr for the 2026-2027 school year.
