Class Description

About the Role

Teach day and/or evening courses in Anthropology and/or Sociology, such as Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, Introduction to Sociology, The Sociology of Race, Ethnicity, and Culture, and Social Problems.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver course instruction
  • Follow common course outlines and policies
  • Utilize the CCBC learning management system
  • Grade, critique, and evaluate student work
  • Provide timely feedback to students
  • Keep and submit accurate classroom records
  • Communicate with the discipline coordinator
  • Attend required training sessions, professional development, and departmental meetings

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in Anthropology or Sociology or a related field
  • Prior teaching experience preferred
