Ansible Engineer

About the role

We are looking for Ansible Engineer designs, develops, and maintains automation solutions using Ansible/Ansible Automation Platform to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, application deployment, and operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Ansible Playbooks, Roles, Collections, and Modules.
• Automate server provisioning, configuration, patching, and application deployments.
• Manage Linux and Windows environments using Ansible.
• Build reusable and scalable automation workflows.
• Integrate Ansible with CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Work with networking devices such as Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Integrate Ansible with REST APIs and external systems.
• Manage credentials and secrets securely using Ansible Vault.
• Troubleshoot failed playbooks and automation jobs.
• Implement idempotent and error-tolerant automation.
• Maintain automation code using Git and follow code-review practices.
• Monitor automation jobs and provide production support.
• Document automation procedures and operational processes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as an Ansible Automation Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Ansible.
• YAML and Jinja2 templating.
• Linux/Unix administration.
• Shell scripting.
• Python scripting.
• Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, HTTP/HTTPS.
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.

• Ansible Technologies: Ansible Core, Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Ansible Automation Controller / AWX, Ansible Galaxy, Ansible Collections, Ansible Vault, Dynamic Inventory, Ansible Roles, Jinja2 Templates.
• Good-to-Have Skills: AWS/Azure/GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Jenkins, Python, Cisco automation, VMware, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, HashiCorp Vault, ServiceNow integration.
