Amazon Web Services (AWS) · Seattle, WA · 2 mo ago
Project ManagementFull-time

Amazon's Annapurna Labs designs the custom silicon (Trainium, Inferentia, Graviton, Nitro) and software (Neuron SDK) that powers the world's most advanced cloud and AI infrastructure. We are entering a new chapter of innovation for our product portfolio and are seeking a dynamic and seasoned product leader to help define and build the future of our products.

About the role

Customers are rapidly evolving and looking for ways to bring generative AI to their organizations and applications. They increasingly rely on compute built on Amazon’s custom silicon to achieve the best price performance for their workloads. Within Annapurna Labs, you will work with a team that defines the strategy and roadmap for delivering this performance and new products to customers.

You will be responsible for full lifecycle product management of new generations of silicon and compute to accelerate several customer workloads, including AI/ML, core computing, High Performance Computing, and more. This role offers the opportunity to innovate across all layers of the solution stack—from software services down to core infrastructure and custom silicon.

You will own product strategy, definition, feature prioritization, messaging, pricing, adoption, customer interaction, sales enablement, and team development. This high-visibility role interacts with all levels of Amazon leadership and involves leading greenfield initiatives from zero-to-one product strategy and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product strategy — Define and execute the product strategy for new silicon and compute offerings, including greenfield initiatives, working backwards from customer needs to identify product positioning, definition, and go-to-market approach.
  • Define and gather customer inputs — Engage with prospective customers to validate product-market fit, gather feedback, and make high-quality product and roadmap decisions.
  • Drive cross-org collaboration — Work with leaders across Annapurna silicon teams, Neuron, and partner organizations to deliver innovation and ensure a unified, coordinated roadmap.
  • Bridge hardware and software — Translate silicon performance capabilities into customer-facing value propositions and product requirements that span the full solution stack.
  • Define product requirements and track execution — Establish priorities, performance goals, methods for measurement, and track their execution and success.
  • Build the support and enablement structure — Define the end-to-end support model for new offerings, including documentation, SLAs, and escalation paths.
  • Communicate with senior leadership — Provide regular updates on strategy, project status, risks, and issues to senior management across the organization.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager.
  • Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS products with full product lifecycle responsibility, from concept through go-to-market (GTM).
  • 3+ years of experience in semiconductor silicon hardware product management (e.g., chip vendors, system OEMs, or enterprise hardware companies).
  • Experience delivering large-scale hardware and software products with full product lifecycle responsibility, from concept through GTM.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Business Administration or Master's degree in a technical field.
  • Experience engaging with customer executives and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
  • Experience influencing senior executives on strategy decisions.
  • Understanding of ML/AI workloads and key hardware performance metrics (memory bandwidth, compute throughput, power efficiency, thermal design) that impact these workloads.
  • Experience with semiconductor, silicon, or data center/cloud infrastructure, including design, supply chain, and supporting physical server/accelerator systems for enterprise customers.
