Animal Logistics Support Tech

Responsibilities

• Assist management, support personnel, and service vendors with equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Work with management to establish, implement, and maintain equipment sanitation schedules and validation intervals.
• Provide technical expertise, consultation, and operational support for facility equipment and processes.
• Coordinate all aspects of animal receipt, housing, and transportation across facility operations, including USDA-covered species.
• Receive, transport, and coordinate animal movement between facilities while ensuring proper handling and documentation.
• Utilize designated census management software to maintain accurate cage card information and per diem allocation for newly received and transferred animals.
• Load, unload, and safely operate facility transport vehicles.
• Assist with routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.
• Perform all duties associated with the Animal Logistical Support Technician role.
• Assist with animal care and husbandry activities as assigned.
• Support facility operations by collaborating with animal care staff to ensure efficient daily operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

Qualifications

Preferred Experience: Prior experience working with animals in a private practice, laboratory animal, or zoological setting.
