Responsibilities
- Oversee research projects from inception to implementation, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and external funding requirements.
- Collaborate with faculty and students across disciplines to advance scientific knowledge and innovation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external funding agencies and industry partners.
- Train and mentor junior researchers, providing guidance on methodologies, data analysis, and professional development.
- Conduct regular progress reviews and provide feedback to ensure project success and adherence to timelines.
Requirements
- A PhD in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral experience.
- Proven track record of successful grant writing and securing external funding.
- Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Expertise in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and ethical standards in research.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources efficiently.
- Experience in academic publishing and presenting at conferences.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in using research software and tools.
