About the role

Responsibilities
- Enforce local animal control laws and ordinances
- Respond to animal-related emergencies and complaints
- Provide educational programs to the public about responsible pet care
- Handle animal impoundments and euthanasia procedures as necessary
- Collaborate with other departments to address community concerns
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Texas driver’s license
- Ability to pass a background check
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, public administration, or related field preferred
- One year of experience in law enforcement or animal control
- Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
