About the Role
Sentara Health is seeking a board-certified anesthesiologist to serve as the Ambulatory Medical Director of our growing office-based anesthesia services at The Center for Plastic Surgery in Virginia Beach and Norfolk. The Ambulatory Medical Director will also have oversight across all regional ambulatory clinics, including CRNA-staffed GI offices. This position offers a flexible schedule with no call, no nights, and no weekends required.
Interested candidates should have excellent communication/interpersonal skills and strong clinical acumen in anesthesia care for cosmetic surgery patients. Proven leadership ability with experience in managing anesthesia teams in multiple ambulatory locations is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for cosmetic surgery patients
- Oversee office-based anesthesia services at The Center for Plastic Surgery in Virginia Beach and Norfolk
- Manage oversight across regional ambulatory clinics, including CRNA-staffed GI offices
- Lead and manage anesthesia teams in multiple ambulatory locations
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM (no call, no nights, no weekends, no holidays)
Pay
- Annual base salary plus quality performance incentive
- $75,000 signing/commencement bonus
- $7,500 annual CME allowance
