Anesthesiologist Physician MD/DO

About the role

The Anesthesiologist Physician will join the UNC Community Faculty Practice with a competitive salary and benefits. They will work in a community-based environment providing general anesthesiology, obstetric anesthesiology, and pediatric experience, with a focus on regional anesthesiology skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a care-team model with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and Anesthesia Assistants (AAs)
• Provide general anesthesiology services in a private practice setting
• Participate in the renovation of a new 48,000 sq. ft. surgical space and an additional 52,000 sq. ft. for a modern surgical facility
• Work in a collaborative care-team model with CRNAs and AAs
• Exercise autonomy in a highly productive private practice environment

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited medical school or DO school
• Completion of an ACGME accredited Anesthesiology Residency program by the anticipated start date
• American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) certification or eligibility
• North Carolina license or license in progress

Qualifications

• Must have completed an ACGME accredited Anesthesiology Residency program (by the anticipated start date) and be ABA certified or eligible.
• New trainees are highly welcomed.
