About the role

Join Vail Health as an Anesthesiologist in a collaborative, team-based model alongside experienced CRNAs. This is a full-time 1099/Direct Contractor role with compensated weeknight and weekend call. Additional compensation is provided for time worked over 10 hours a day and extra days worked.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia care in a collaborative, team-based environment
• Participate in compensated weeknight and weekend call rotations
• Administer anesthesia using IV, local, spinal, or caudal techniques for surgical and medical procedures
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and comfort
• Manage airway and provide life support during emergency situations
• Evaluate patient risk through medical histories, exams, and diagnostics
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to determine optimal anesthetic plans
• Oversee and coordinate care with CRNAs, nurses, and support staff
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and recovery

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience as an anesthesiologist
• Skilled at epidurals, spinals, and ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Experience in a supervisory position (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills (preferred)
• Team player (preferred)

Qualifications

• Board certified in anesthesiology
• Doctor of Medicine degree with anesthesiology residency

Pay

Compensation is $3,500 per day.
