Anesthesia Technician

About the role

Assist the anesthesia team prior to, during, and following patient procedures in the Inpatient Operating Room and all off-site locations. Check and supply anesthesia carts and machines, replace anesthesia gas tanks, disassemble used anesthesia equipment, disinfect machines, and supply carts, replace used products and prepare transducers for invasive hemodynamic monitoring. Assist with the preparation of anesthesia supplies both preoperatively and post operatively by cleaning, maintaining, packaging, ordering, and inventorying of anesthesia supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia team before, during, and after patient procedures in the Inpatient Operating Room and off-site locations.
• Check and supply anesthesia carts and machines; replace anesthesia gas tanks.
• Disassemble used anesthesia equipment; disinfect machines and supply carts.
• Replace used products and prepare transducers for invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
• Clean, maintain, package, order, and inventory anesthesia supplies preoperatively and postoperatively.
• Demonstrate trust, respect, honesty, and caring attitudes with patients/families and healthcare team members.

Schedule

• Full-time, 100% FTE, Evening shift.
• Monday – Friday between 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM, with weekend rotation.
• Weekend shift hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM.
• Hours may vary based on operational needs of the department.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required.
• Associate’s Degree as Anesthesia Technologist preferred.

Preferred Work Experience

• 1 year of experience in a medical setting.

Preferred Licenses & Certifications

• Basic Life Support/CPR or obtained within 180 days.
