Andrology Lab Technician

IVIRMA North America network of state-of-the-art fertility practices in the United States is seeking an Andrology Lab Technician for the Basking Ridge, NJ location.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday 5:30am–1:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays. Travel to surrounding satellite offices may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate and current records of patient reports and inventory.
• Adheres to the laboratory’s quality control policies; documents all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed.
• Follows the laboratory’s policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within established acceptable levels of performance.
• Studies and remains current with the Laboratory Operating Manual regarding quality assurance, quality control, safety procedures, and operating guidelines for all assigned laboratory services.
• Holds a comprehensive understanding of and follows all OSHA requirements for safe laboratory operations to maintain a safe environment.
• Assures quality care by adhering to therapeutic standards; follows practice, physician, and laboratory division philosophies, as well as state and governing agency regulations.
• Works cooperatively with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient care and achieve practice objectives and goals.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping all patient and proprietary information confidential; adheres to signed HIPAA Confidentiality Agreement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a chemical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or related field (required).
• Minimum 6 months’ laboratory training toward degree or experience in a clinical or research lab (preferred).
• Experience with electronic medical records (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment, hormone analyzers, and microscopes.
