Android Platform / BSP / OTA Engineer Location: India or USA - 100% Remote Experience: 8+ years Type: Contract Job Summary Seeking an experienced Android Platform Engineer with hands-on experience in Android A13/A14/A15/A16/A17 platform migration, Qualcomm BSP, bootloader, and FOTA/OTA. The engineer will work across Android platform integration, device bring-up, boot flow, firmware updates, and system validation. Responsibilities Support Android A13 A16 platform migration, including Android Framework, HAL/interface and vendor-layer changes.Integrate and validate Qualcomm Android BSP/Snapdragon platform components.Work with Linux kernel, GKI, Device Tree/DTS/DTBO, HAL, AIDL/HIDL and vendor components.Support bootloader, boot chain, recovery, Fastboot/ADB, AVB/dm-verity and partition configuration.Develop, integrate and validate FOTA/OTA updates, including A/B or Virtual A/B, Update Engine and Boot Control HAL.Build, flash and debug Android system/vendor images and troubleshoot boot failures, kernel issues and system stability problems.Perform platform validation including CTS/VTS and Android version migration testing.Work with vendor binaries, vendor partition and hardware/software integration.Troubleshoot issues across the framework, HAL, kernel, BSP and OTA/update stack. Mandatory Skills 8+ years of Android Platform/AOSP experience.Hands-on Android A13/A14 migration experience.Strong Qualcomm BSP/Snapdragon experience.Experience with Linux Kernel, GKI, Device Tree and HAL/AIDL/HIDL.Hands-on Bootloader / Boot Chain / Fastboot / ADB experience.Strong FOTA/OTA experience with A/B or Virtual A/B and Update Engine.Experience with AVB/dm-verity and Android partitioning.Android build, flashing, debugging and platform validation experience.Strong troubleshooting/root-cause analysis skills.
