Andaz PM Rooftop Bartender - Part Time

About the Role

Bartenders at Andaz San Diego are responsible for providing libations and offering customized recommendations. The ideal candidate should be familiar with the latest in mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, with a focus on maintaining an attractive bar. This position encourages creativity and allows for building on one’s style and previous bartending experiences. Preferred candidates will have an understanding of state and local serving guidelines and a willingness to take on multiple responsibilities as needed. Requires evening, weekend, and holiday availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly bar service while maintaining a warm, welcoming guest experience.
• Mix and prepare drinks for servers.
• Run food efficiently and accurately during high-volume periods, ensuring timely delivery and proper presentation.
• Buss tables, reset sections, and maintain a clean, organized bar area throughout service.
• Assist teammates across all front-of-house roles to support overall operational success.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and server teams to ensure accuracy and speed of service.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism, escalating issues to management when appropriate.
• Support opening, mid-shift, and closing duties to keep the restaurant clean, stocked, and service-ready.
• Uphold all safety, sanitation, and service standards consistently.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Bartending experience required.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $19.00 per hour.
