Requirements
Manage a book of brokers and their business as assigned. Coordinate day-to-day customer service and support the broker-Emerson Rogers (ER) relationship. Act as a liaison between the insurance carrier and broker. Assist with training brokers and perform rate/renewal analysis.
- Visit top brokers regularly as directed by management.
- Work with VIP brokers based on business value and complexity.
- Resolve day-to-day service issues for brokers and vendors.
- Respond to carrier and/or broker-specific questions.
- Ensure new business, renewals, and broker of record letters meet carrier requirements.
- Process plan changes, including policy changes, endorsements, and other requests.
- Provide follow-up communication and approvals on plan changes and open enrollment issues.
- Process new business applications and ensure quick and accurate installation by vendors.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities for other lines of coverage.
- Enter data into commission database and update client database.
- Create and maintain case files of critical client information based on implemented workflows.
- Cross-check with team members to ensure service and turnaround times meet ER standards.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with brokers, vendors, and internal staff.
- Stay current with insurance regulations, carrier plan options, underwriting rules, and value-add programs.
- Problem-solve creatively and manage priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Show strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Work independently and in a busy, team environment.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
