ANC Lead Ramp Agent

Lead Ramp Agent directs and trains a team of ramp agents, ensuring safe, efficient aircraft load/unload operations in compliance with customer, Swissport, and FAA guidelines. This working manager role involves hands-on ramp duties, equipment operation, and staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct ramp agents in daily operations, safety, and professionalism.
• Read and interpret load sheets; load/unload aircraft according to customer instructions.
• Operate all ramp equipment and perform staff duties as needed.
• Ensure safety and integrity of customer and Swissport assets during all operations.
• Maintain discipline and adherence to company rules and regulations.
• Oversee baggage makeup process to meet airline specifications.
• Work in inclement weather and flexible shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays).

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the field.
• Some lead or supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent communication skills and health & safety awareness.
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 70 pounds (32 kilograms).
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Pay

$18.00–$19.00 per hour.
