Analytics Engineer

About the role

Work with internal customers to understand their data needs, and translate into technical requirements; Develop and maintain data pipelines to extract or ingest new data sources to a data warehouse, using Data Vault methodology; Build and maintain PBI semantic models that centralize business logic and simplify reporting; Monitor the availability and integrity of the data warehouse, and address accordingly; Identify opportunities to improve data quality; Contribute to and enforce internal development standards.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal customers to understand their data needs, and translate into technical requirements;
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to extract or ingest new data sources to a data warehouse, using Data Vault methodology;
• Build and maintain PBI semantic models that centralize business logic and simplify reporting;
• Maintain the availability and integrity of the data warehouse, and address accordingly;
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality;
• Contribute to and enforce internal development standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a data analytics or data engineering role;
• Experience with SQL;
• Experience with dbt;
• Experience with DAX;
• Experience with PBI semantic models;
• Experience with dimensional modeling (Kimball);
• Experience with Git;
• Actively stays up to date with latest technologies;
• Leverages AI tools to increase productivity;
• Clear and concise communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bonus: Familiarity with or interest in Data Vault 2.0 methodology;
• Experience with Cloud SQL platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, …)
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP);
• Experience with PBI report building;
• Knowledge of transportation and/or logistics.

Pay

This is a full-time in-office permanent position from Monday to Friday.
