Analytics Director

About the role

You will lead the Embedded analytics & insights team for one of our major retail clients, focusing on delivering high-volume, rapid-turnaround analytics and strategic insights. You will coach and develop the team, driving adoption of AI-led approaches, and manage the team's workload to balance efficiency and strategic opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of high-volume, rapid-turnaround analytics for the client, balancing commercial requests with strategic opportunities
• Build senior-level relationships within the client's organization, ensuring trust and alignment with their planning cycles, constraints, and decision-making pace
• Coach and develop the team's analytical output, reviewing work, building capability, and fostering innovation
• Drive adoption of AI-led approaches within the team, using AI tools to optimize analytics delivery and question-to-decision cycles
• Translate ambiguous, fast-moving requests into structured analytical approaches and identify strategic opportunities across multiple requests
• Manage delivery through Q.Checkout, balancing daily throughput with strategic scoping

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering analytics and insights in a deadline-driven environment, with the ability to identify and scope longer-horizon strategic opportunities
• Practical, hands-on experience applying AI tools to accelerate analytics delivery
• Experience leading a small team
• Strong stakeholder management skills, building trust with senior client teams and managing competing priorities
• Hands-on experience with SQL/Python and working with large-scale customer, transaction, or sales data
• Ability to translate ambiguous, fast-moving requests into structured analytical approaches and spot patterns across requests
• Comfortable working with large, complex data and drawing sound conclusions from it
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related discipline

Qualifications

• Experience in Retail or CPG analytics domain is a plus
• Strong analytics operators from adjacent industries are welcome
