Analytical Scientist
About the role
Your ‘day to day’ responsibilities include leading complex analytical investigations, developing and implementing advanced methodologies to enhance in-house analytical capabilities, and driving cross-functional collaboration. You will also execute detailed analysis of special project samples using a wide range of advanced instrumentation and wet chemistry techniques, design, develop, optimize, and implement analytical methods to support evolving business and scientific needs, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot sophisticated analytical instrumentation such as UHPLC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and GC-MS Headspace systems, stay current with scientific literature and emerging technologies to expand internal analytical capabilities, and report to the Senior Manager of Analytical Science while partnering with cross-functional teams across PMIUS to deliver critical analytical insights for special projects.

Requirements
- PhD in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Minimum of five years of experience as an Analytical Chemist or in a comparable technical role
- Proven ability to organize, manage, and execute special projects effectively, including training and mentoring others in both fundamental laboratory techniques and advanced instrumentation
- Strong expertise in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced analytical instrumentation
- Comprehensive experience in: Analytical and Organic Chemistry, Gas Chromatography (GC) and Ion Chromatography (IC), Method development and optimization, Microscopy techniques, UHPLC-MS/MS and GC-MS systems, Experimental design (DOE) and advanced problem-solving methodologies
- Proficient in laboratory and data management software and tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, LIMS, Chromeleon, Chemstation, OpenLab CDS, and ECM systems

- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

- Annual Base Salary Range: $104,000 - $130,000
