About the Role
We are seeking a talented and innovative Scientist to join the Bioanalysis-Drug Metabolism/Pharmacokinetics (BA-DMPK) department at our Ridgefield, CT facility. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams within DMPK to support the management and characterization of critical reagents used in bioanalytical assays for non-clinical and clinical studies.
Responsibilities
- Function effectively as a team member, demonstrating behaviors and attributes required to complete interdependent and cross-functional tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Execute routine procedures independently and efficiently, including inventory management, physical receipt, organized storage, electronic tracking, monitoring, and discrepancy resolution for standard, specialized, and custom reagents, matrices, and reference standards.
- Manage off-site reagent sample storage and tracking.
- Conduct analytical characterization of critical reagents, including concentration determination, aSEC, and/or LC-MS.
- Carry out laboratory safety responsibilities, such as inspections of eyewash stations and fire extinguishers within BA-DMPK laboratories.
- Coordinate pipette and balance calibration activities in DMPK.
- Archive analytical data, reports, and supporting documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks.
- Communicate results through reports, presentations, and Microsoft Office documents.
- Present findings clearly and defend scientific conclusions in team meetings.
- Take on additional responsibilities (e.g., equipment maintenance, freezer management) as directed by Bioanalysis/DMPK Management.
- Comply with applicable regulations and perform all work safely, maintaining proper records in accordance with SOPs and company policies.
Skills
- Experience with analytical size exclusion chromatography (aSEC) and LC-MS.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results and follow through on commitments.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn electronic data management systems and laboratory software tools.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related scientific discipline with 0-3 years of relevant experience.
Pay
Pay Rate Range: $30-41/hr depending on experience.
