Analytical Clinical Chemistry Scientist

Job Description

We are seeking an Analytical Clinical Chemistry Scientist to set up, execute, and troubleshoot HPLC and UPLC instrumentation. Responsibilities include:

• Preparing protein samples, mobile phases, and cleaning solutions
• Handling micropipettes
• Gathering, processing, and recording data in an electronic database
• Documenting procedures and test data thoroughly and completely
• Reviewing test results to ensure they meet validity, suitability, and specification acceptance criteria; reporting any quality anomalies
• Complying with all quality, integrity, and safety standards outlined through effective policies and procedures
• Participating in required electronic and in-person training activities
• Maintaining laboratory supplies
• Routine calibration and/or verification of instruments and other lab equipment prior to use
• Interacting with outside customers or functional peer groups

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, related field with 2-4 years of experience OR Master’s degree in related field with 0-2 years of experience
• Experience running and maintaining HPLCs/UPLCs
• Experience with MCE and iCEIF assays
• Knowledge of cGMP
• Strong technical, computer, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Additional Information

The position is full-time, Monday - Friday, with the hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York, are encouraged to apply. Excellent full-time benefits including:
