The Role
The Analytical Associate Chemist will perform routine testing and provide analytical support for the Corporation.
Responsibilities
- Perform required analytical tests on customer’s samples from the field
- Write clear, concise lab reports on work completed, making appropriate recommendations with the assistance of the Analytical Specialist and other technical resources
- Complete any special projects as requested by the Analytical Specialist
- Learn operation and maintenance of all analytical instrumentation; assist in troubleshooting problems when required
- Maintain supplies for all analytical requirements in accordance with Chemetall/Surventis quality system
- Maintain calibration and validation equipment log for lab instrumentation
- Log in solution analysis projects daily; responsible for maintaining these logs for the New Providence Lab
- Prepare and present seminars or lectures to the department on analytical topics
- Develop new test procedures as required with the analytical team members
- Upgrade technical skills by working in the laboratories and consulting with other technical personnel, staying abreast of technical developments in the field, reading journals, and learning new methods of analysis
- Attend industry seminars and in-house seminars to keep current with new technologies
- Promote safety and cleanliness in the analytical laboratory
- Maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with Chemetall/Surventis quality system
- Support supplemental processes such as Environmental Health and Safety, Quality and DE&I
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related Science is required
- 0-3 years of experience
- Strong analytical/computer skills required
- Strong verbal/written skills required
- Experience in data science and/or LIMS preferred

Benefits
Surventis is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
