PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage customer demand and on time delivery
- Analyze demand and inventory levels and create internal orders in SAP
- Issue orders to the warehouse floor with adequate preparation time to meet customer due date and window times
- Meet 100% delivery to the customer: customer coverage with input from customer portals and emails and initiating management-approved premium freight if essential
- Transmits and Monitors ASN’s for errors and accuracy
- Maintains daily and monthly customer delivery ratings (reporting to core group as designated) and disputes as necessary
- Reconciles shipment accums and related discrepancies (DMR, RDR, RMO)
- Ensures current customer specific requirements such as labeling, packaging, routing, window times, and EDI specs are communicated
- Covers incoming shipments with internal departments
- Analyzes and reports delivery performance
- Manages Premium Freight Orders
- Utilizes appropriate processes and systems to log and order premium freight
- Collaborates on transportation requirements between multiple Yazaki groups and the customer
- Determines cost responsibility based on input from internal and external customers
- Manages Obsolescence / Balance Out
- Fulfills FIFO on order creation considering part design level
- Keeps warehouse on-point by following internal processes of design levels, quantities as customer demand changes
- Confirms cost responsibility based on input from internal customers in regard to agreements or negotiations with manufacturing or the customer
- Completes customer claims audits and scrap quickly to minimize obsolescence and carrying costs
- Acts as the liaison for both the customer and production control
- Ensures timely responses to their communication
- Affords assistance to customer with delivery issues
- Supports engineering changes with production control and the customer
- Informs and updates customers and portals on delivery timing based on input from internal departments
- Manages part registration in applicable system ensuring the system is ready to issue orders to the warehouse with correct system information to correctly transmit ASN’s to the customer
- Manages late requests from the customer
- Participates in customer and internal meetings
- Utilizes and updates customer systems as necessary
- Completes required reports and metrics
- Understands when escalation is required and appropriately initiates it
- May support specific prototype / preproduction meetings (e.g. component procurement / shortage and Supplier Readiness)
- May coordinate shipment timing and special requirements with transportation for incoming and outgoing shipments
- Analyzes customer orders in applicable system as necessary
- Supports long-range and short-term group forecasts, goals, objectives, and priorities
- Supports other projects, tasks, and/or duties as assigned
- Mentors and trains analysts as required
- Aids other carlines
- Represents the Distribution department during meetings and projects
- Supports health and safety policies
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelors in business administration or Supply Chain Management, or related field or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience:
- Required minimum years of experience in Supply Chain or related field: None
- Preferred years of experience in Supply chain and project management or related field: 0 – 3 years
- Language: English is required and Spanish is required if directly interacts with customers in Mexico.
- Software: SAP, Success Factors and Microsoft
- Travel: Both domestic and international travel could be required between Yazaki facilities and to customer and manufacturing sites
