Job Summary, Description & Qualifications
The Analyst, Research & AI Data Systems supports institutional research and regional workforce initiatives through data integration, analytics, and applied AI implementation. This position has two primary areas of responsibility. First, the Analyst works with the Institutional Research team to create data analyses, reporting tools, and AI-enabled solutions that support decision-making, student success, and strategic planning. This position will also support the Data Governance process. Second, the Analyst collaborates with Workforce Training & Professional Development and the Central Wisconsin AI Center to provide technical assistance to business and industry partners. This includes assessing organizational data needs, developing data and AI roadmaps, and supporting the practical Implementation Of Analytics And AI Solutions.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Data Integration & Decision Support
- Design, implement, and maintain interactive visualizations that aggregate data across systems (e.g., Workday, Canvas, Starfish, external labor market tools), ensuring usability for internal stakeholders.
- Deploy AI and machine learning techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, natural language summarization, automated reporting) to enhance analytic rigor and streamline institutional research processes, in collaboration with Information Technology and Institutional Research.
