Quality Analyst

The Quality Analyst supports Operation teams to align and achieve food safety and quality standards, through daily execution of quality systems, best operating practices, and processes to eliminate defects and reduce variation.

• Administers policies and procedures from HACCP, Food Safety Plan and Food Defense Plan
• Safeguards key food safety pre-requisite programs such as: GMP compliance, sanitation, regulatory audits, oPRP, PC, & CCPs, Food Safety Management System, PRPs
• Traces and recalls products according to procedures
• Investigates and responds to consumer complaints
• Ensures compliance to Certification Programs: Kosher, Halal, Non-GMO, Rainforest Alliance, Organic
• Conducts new hire training and quality related training for all employees in the facility
• Collaborates cross-functionally to assist teams to solve operational and Quality issues
• Reports deviations from established standards and policies to ensure prompt and immediate root cause and corrective action
• Uses SCR/CAPAs to resolve deviations
• Leads in-process sensory programs as needed; routinely performs sensory testing
• Supports R&D tests
• Manages non-conforming goods by segregating, tagging, sampling, disposition, and communicating held raw materials, work in process, finished goods and scrap authorization process

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Chemistry, Food Sciences, Microbiology, Science, Engineering or related fields
• Experience in quality space
• Understanding and working knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, GMP, Sanitation, and Quality Systems
• Highly motivated and self-directed with ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment
• Ability to work independently and flexible work hours, good organizational skills, ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
• Ability to recognize and work through complex, ambiguous and time sensitive problems, analyze and develop solutions using a logical thought process
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels within the facility

Location

Willingness to be onsite daily in the Tropicana Bradenton, Florida office
