Analyst, Project Controls (Hybrid Schedule)

Hybrid schedules are available for this role, requiring at least three days in the office (including Tuesdays and Wednesdays), with the third day determined by the employee and supervisor. About the Role
This position is responsible for analyzing project data and reporting on the performance of the Distribution Organization. The role ensures timely and efficient monitoring and analysis of project costs, trends, and schedules for the capital program. It involves producing reports and analyses to support Eversource’s project initiatives across planning, execution, compliance, and close-out phases. The position works closely with all functional departments to monitor adherence to Eversource’s policies, procedures, and standards, and develops key Project Management metrics such as schedule performance, risk management, and project productivity.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Management, Investment Planning, Operations, Procurement, and Materials personnel to ensure project budgets and schedules align with corporate goals and strategies.
- Work with Investment Planning to manage cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting of CAPEX and variance analysis at project and program levels.
- Track Project Management compliance with procedures regarding Key Project Decision Documents, record management, and quality control protocols.
- Apply project analytics to describe, predict, and improve business performance, and create reports to guide decision-making in capital program management.
- Ensure accuracy of cost information, including proper coding and allocation to project budgets.
- Create accounting and project cost variance reports.
- Monitor and report on project costs and adherence to budget and forecast.
- Review, evaluate, and report on trends impacting project costs or in-service dates.
- Assess progress measurement and develop/update progress charts for reporting.
- Create and maintain project-level KPIs and project statistics reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent; MBA or equivalent education highly desirable.
- Three to five years of related experience, preferably with exposure to Project Management, accounting, or financial business analysis in a business managing large, complex multi-year projects.
- Self-reliant with strong self-motivation and communication skills.
- Understanding and application of financial, accounting, business, risk, and project management theories and methodologies.
- Knowledge of financial modeling, accounting, risk management, project management information systems, capital investment analysis, plant accounting, and capital budgeting.
- Ability to monitor and analyze cost and scheduling information, provide forecasts, make recommendations, and communicate effectively at all levels.
Working Conditions
- Must be available for emergency restoration assignments as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA, CT, and NH as necessary.

Pay
Annual salary range: $91,200.00 - $101,330.00. This position is eligible for a potential incentive.
