Role Overview

The Principal and Major Gifts (PMG) Analyst plays a critical role in the Major Gifts unit, working cross-departmentally to coordinate efforts that enhance revenue capabilities. The Analyst is responsible for managing projects, data, and donor events, and supports the Senior Director and PMG operations colleagues in tool and resource development.

Department Accountabilities

  • Key Account Management: Design and deliver account management strategy, manage a few high-value relationships, and develop long-term partnerships.

  • Donor Development: Identify strategic opportunities to cultivate partnerships and identify new geographies or donors.

  • Donor Relationship Development: Build trust and loyalty with donors, update them on activities, and develop long-term relationships, especially with large corporations or foundations.

  • Brand Positioning: Develop brand positioning based on strategy and implement brand plans.

Roles Specific Outcomes

  • Project Management: Deliver small to medium-scale projects within established plans.

  • Data Management: Manage basic data systems with guidance from senior colleagues.

  • Business Meetings/Events Arrangement: Arrange venues, equipment, catering, accommodation, and travel for complex events.

  • Donor Relationship Management: Make calls to donors, manage queries and concerns, and respond to complex donor inquiries.

  • Administration: Produce, update, and advise on complex MSF documents and systems.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: Two years of related work experience at a non-profit, preferably in a major gifts team.

  • Skills: Knowledge of donor databases, contacts management (preferably Salesforce/NPSP), project management tools (preferably Asana), data integrity, discretion, and event support.

Compensation

$59,475 - $89,212; Compensated on an hourly basis with a 35-hour work week. New hires are generally offered between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
