About the Role

This is an office-based position located in Pennington, NJ. The role involves establishing, preparing, maintaining, and analyzing customer contracts and pricing documentation to facilitate optimal pricing decisions within the generic pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, prepare, maintain, and analyze customer contracts and pricing documentation, providing recommendations for optimal pricing decisions.
  • Prepare, monitor, and execute all pricing activities (formal RFPs, pricing, product availability, rebates, incentives, contract loads, amendments) using a cross-functional approach to meet company policies and sales goals.
  • Assist manager in gathering data, monitoring performance, and preparing financial analysis for assigned customer segments and accounts.
  • Participate in contract and pricing preparation, administration, and customer contract activities to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Open new accounts and maintain customer master information.
  • Work closely with the chargeback team to monitor transactions and ensure accurate membership.
  • Build relationships with wholesaler contracts to ensure proper loading of contracts, memberships, and pricing.
  • Prepare and communicate documents for new product launches or pricing changes (e.g., New Product Offer Templates, VIR Programs, Sales Promotions, Texas Medicaid Agencies submissions, Puerto Rico Registration documents, Trade Pricing Compendia notifications).
  • Interact with internal and external personnel to resolve discrepancies related to customer information.
  • Review daily pricing exceptions and evaluate methods to optimize price, revenue, and margin through pricing strategies and competitive analysis.
  • Compile and maintain competitive and pricing data using external sources and internal systems.
  • Maintain the price Mailbox, update the Contract Master File upon completion of customer agreements.
  • Assist Finance with gross-to-net calculations for accruals, resolving customer sales deductions, reporting material shelf stock adjustments, and resolving chargeback denial issues.
  • Assist Customer Service and Chargeback Team with researching and resolving pricing-related errors.
  • Understand industry standards, Zydus policies, processes, and business standards.
  • Run and maintain sales/metrics reports (e.g., bid detail report) and customer product portals.
  • Report and identify trends and non-compliant transactions.
  • Resolve complex issues both autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Participate in industry training to align with industry standards and best practices.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.
  • Perform other related duties and ad hoc responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or a related business major.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of related work experience in the Generic Pharmaceutical Industry, with at least 1 year of commercial pricing and contracting experience.
  • Experience developing and customizing documents from templates.
  • Ability to handle a large volume of transactions while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to work well in a dynamic environment.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • SAP/Vistex experience is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to grasp concepts and ideas quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Quantitative mindset.

Work Environment

  • Office-based position in Pennington, NJ.
  • Frequently required to sit and/or stand, walk, talk, and hear.
  • Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods.
  • Vision requirements include clarity at 20 inches or less due to computer work.
  • Moderate noise (e.g., background noise from computers, phones, printers, and light hallway traffic).
  • Constantly required to use hands and fingers to operate office machines and equipment.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
