Analyst, Operations I -Cost Basis and Performance
About the role
Provide supervisory guidance and personnel support for the Cost Basis Department. Offer training, coaching, development, process improvement, and problem-solving to personnel in one or more areas. Direct team members by setting expectations, giving instructions, and supporting complex or difficult inquiries to ensure prompt, satisfactory resolution of customer issues. Handle escalated issues for the department and provide risk oversight. Partner with branch offices and other business lines to solve problems and improve processes. Work with the department senior manager to meet departmental work objectives and collaborate with employees in Operations, business lines, and other support areas on related projects.
Responsibilities
- Determine needs and suggest solutions for administrative improvements in procedures, processes, or systems.
- Identify needs and propose customization or alterations of technical tools to support unusual or new business requirements.
- Collect and analyze information.
- Address escalated questions independently, seeking assistance from Senior Manager or other Operations resources as appropriate.
- Conduct operations process oversight on complex exception-based and/or highly specialized processes to ensure adherence to department procedures, mitigate risks, and meet regulatory requirements.
- Provide support with department volume metrics, staffing models, financial forecasts, and budgets as required.
- Suggest process changes and/or system modifications to reduce risk, increase efficiencies, or enrich customer service.
Requirements
- 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent, or High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of securities, banking, technology, and/or job-specific industry experience.
- 3+ years of prior securities, banking, technology, and/or job-specific related industry experience.
- Previous cost basis expertise.
Qualifications
- Fully proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with an ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.
- Advanced problem identification, analytical, and resolution skills to support escalated issue resolution and oversight of exception-based complex processes.
- Securities license 7 or 99 (nice-to-have).

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $55,000 - $95,000, depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status, market conditions, and business needs. This range does not include other elements of total compensation, such as a discretionary bonus and benefits.
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
