About the role
We are seeking an Analyst to join our Management Consulting & Valuation team. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven professional with a strong analytical and financial skill set to contribute to a dynamic practice whose responsibilities extend beyond those of a traditional analyst role.
Job Responsibilities
- Build and analyze complex financial models related to businesses, technologies, and intellectual property assets
- Apply advanced valuation techniques (income, market, and cost approaches) in both advisory and litigation contexts
- Conduct deep-dive industry, market, and competitive analyses across a wide range of sectors
- Evaluate commercial viability, adoption trends, and competitive positioning of technologies and intangible assets
- Draft clear, concise, and defensible reports, expert materials, and client presentations
- Translate complex quantitative analyses into compelling narratives suitable for executive and legal audiences
- Synthesize financial, technical, legal, and marketing materials into actionable insights
- Critically evaluate opposing expert reports, damages claims, and valuation methodologies
- Participate in client meetings, strategy sessions, and expert discussions
- Support preparation for depositions, arbitration, and trial testimony
- Contribute to recruiting, training, and internal knowledge development
- Support practice development initiatives, including proposal development and thought leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related analytical field
- 1-4 years of relevant experience in valuation, litigation consulting, investment banking, or related fields
- Demonstrated academic excellence – high cumulative GPA
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; strong PowerPoint and writing skills
- Exceptional analytical rigor and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly
- Professional presence and the ability to engage confidently with clients and senior stakeholders
- Intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and a desire to work on analytically demanding problems
- Must reside within commuting distance of our Chicago office and be available to work onsite 2–3 days per week
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in intellectual property valuation, damages analysis, or transaction advisory
- Progress toward or completion of CFA, CPA, or other relevant certifications

Additional Information
A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $90,000 - $105,000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
