Analyst - IT Application - Pharmacist

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots low to moderate complexity end-user issues, workflow problems, and enhancement requests for departmental users, associated medical staff, key stakeholders, management and leadership.
• Contributes to technical and workflow root cause analysis.
• Acts as a consultant to healthcare professionals regarding utilization of pharmaceutical therapies and participates in Network committees and quality improvement initiatives as directed.
• Provides education and support for the implementation of projects, programs and pharmacy initiatives (i.e. automation, clinical monitoring, patient education, etc.).
• Serves as a preceptor for pharmacy informatics students.
• Trains new pharmacy employees, pharmacy students and pharmacy interns.
• Analyzes business operations as they relate to design decisions and prioritizes and implements requested changes to the system.
• Performs in-depth analyzes of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the use of integrated applications with minimal assistance.
• Designs, tests, implements and supports files/systems within assigned products and scope with minimal supervision.
• Populates tables and databases, for a domain with multiple owners, with some assistance from Vendor and Information Technology staff.
• Collaborates in an integrated approach to eliminate the potential for a negative impact to our customers and patients.
• Maintains set standards of application system build and database maintenance, including updates to master files, profiles, dictionaries, and other databases.
• Assists with recommendations for standardized naming, numbering and security conventions.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Communicates effectively (written and oral) across all levels of the organization and has the ability to determine the appropriate forum for each method.
• Develops effective working relationships across HonorHealth and with vendor applications support personnel.
• Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and manage individual workload with minimal assistance.
• Collaborates effectively with team members to adjust priorities based on business needs.
• Assists with the change management, project management, and documentation policies and standards, established by the Information Technology Department and Project Management Office for maintenance, requests and new initiatives.
• May lead low to moderate complexity projects as assigned.
• Understands and utilizes the IT Project Management toolset for the successful completion of initiatives.
• Understands and follows established change management procedures for testing, documenting, and communicating system changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Pharmacy Sciences from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy
• Doctorate in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy (preferred)
• 3 years Healthcare, consulting, or IT related experience that demonstrates an advanced understanding of the standard tools, workflow processes, and/or procedures and concepts used in the deployment and development of application software necessary to run the healthcare systems business, clinical or financial systems (required)
• 5 years Healthcare, consulting, or IT related experience that demonstrates an advanced understanding of the standard tools, workflow processes, and/or procedures and concepts used in the deployment and development of application software necessary to run the healthcare systems business, clinical or financial systems (preferred)
• Arizona Board of Pharmacy License (180 days required)
• Epic Certification - Certificate, Epic certification as applicable for assigned team (required)
