Analyst III, Functional Applications - Production Planning

About the role

Provide business system analysis and process design expertise within the Production Planning business functions, turning requirements into system solutions. Ensure stability and continuity in IT operations with 10% national travel required.

Responsibilities

• Perform SAP or other business application configuration to support functional requirements.
• Manage and control implementation of changes without business interruption.
• Lead within assigned SAP modules (Production Planning, Discrete Manufacturing, PP-PI).
• Manage tasks through all project lifecycle phases: Requirements Gathering, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment, and Support.
• Develop detailed functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP Developers or software vendors.
• Work with Business Process Owners to align SAP configuration with business needs.
• Document current configuration and maintain specifications and testing documentation.
• Participate in testing activities (unit, integration, regression, user acceptance) including creating test scenarios and scripts.
• Provide application maintenance and support by addressing user issues and requests.
• Create and deliver training materials for business partners on new processes and functionality.
• Design and deploy effective IT solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with SAP Production Planning modules.
• 3+ years of experience with SAP PP-PI, Discrete Manufacturing, Process Industry, Production/Process Orders, MRP, Sales and Operations Planning, Batch Management, Production Confirmation, backflush, and Pi Sheets.
• 3+ years of experience with PP Master Data (Material Master, BOM, Work Center, Routing, Master Recipes, Production Versions).
• 3+ years of experience with full lifecycle SAP or other ERP implementations.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and production execution, including planning concepts and standards.
